The Wolverine ( 2013 ) - Hollywood made Japanese Version of Wolverine

This movie has no relation to any of its predecessor and feels very new as if this is the Origin. James Mangold not sure his obsession over Japanese soil but this movie is totally made out from this Land of rising Red Sun. Storyline in short is " Past help,Present betrayal" . First time ever , we see Logan (a) Wolverine at receiving end while he is beaten as hell throughout the movie . He is weak, pain , prone for attacks, Bleeds . mentally ill and his self healing tendency is shaken a bit but still he leads the movie forward , emerges as that man in steel as we always seen him before. Though the plot somewhat relates to his self healing property while someone trying to steal his powers to become immortal.

This is the first time ever we knew that wolverine powers can be transfused and passed on , If this was known i am sure many would have tried it long back on previous episodes but was something new. The script was made confusing so much and actually it was not needed at all as at one point it will make us feel like who is trying to kill whom. Yukio - Ms.bodyguard of Wolverine , thats how she calls herself has no real need in this film and was induced for no purpose , still she remains there with wolverine till the end as a supporting role justifying herself helping wolverine at every turn and rest all cast was just placed here & there as Sudoku. We also tend to see Viper, samurai's , Silver samurai characters in this film making it a bit crisp but not totally appetizing. Its just our Wolverine who is the only eye catcher in this movie and be it action scenes while saving Mariko in funeral , or saving her grandfather from a nuclear attack at Nagasaki . Bar fight for killing a bear or the final fight with Silver samurai are just fascinating and stunning. Not many scenes were made in 3D and i dont see a real purpose of it in this movie , feels a 2D version would be much better to look for. This is a pure solo performance of Wolverine in this movie and if you are one who is Mad fan of Wolverine can sure have a virtual treat. Rest for other normal viewers this will be just another average flick with a bit draggy screenplay in middle. Not bad, sure watchable once for Hugh Jackmans performance and dedication , hard work he put on for this film. If you want to visit Japan via a movie , Wolverine will be a easy ticket.
